DAMON GOSS
Damon Goss is a seasoned British music producer, songwriter, and remixer, renowned for his influential contributions to the electronic and house music scenes since the 1990s. Operating under aliases such as Eastwood, Dextreous, Retrostate & Drumscape to name but a few, he has crafted a distinctive sound that blends classic rave energy with contemporary production techniques.
Goss began his musical journey as a DJ in the 1980s, immersing himself in the club and rave culture. Transitioning into production in the early '90s, he quickly gained recognition for his innovative remixes under Dexterous, including notable reworks of Da Hool's "Meet Her at the Love Parade" and Brainbug's "Nightmare".
In the early 2000s, he co-founded the project Retrostate with vocalist Marcus Pearson. Their 2004 release "Tonight" became a significant club hit, showcasing Goss's ability to create tracks that resonate on the dance floor.
Throughout his career, Damon Goss has released music on platforms like Beatport, Traxsource, Spotify collaborating with artists such as Marcus Pearson, Oscar P, Chad Jackson, DJ Fergie, His discography reflects a commitment to evolving his sound while staying true to his roots in electronic music.
LAWRENCE GREEN
Lawrence Green is a British music producer, remixer, DJ, VJ and multi-instrumentalist. After learning to play the piano, drums, lead and bass guitar by the age of 12 he went on to play various instruments in the live bands arena. During the 1990s he honed his production skills and by 2000 had released his debut eponymous album called Greenfly. In 2003 his track "G-Funk" was voted 3rd best Drum'n'Bass tune of the year by Mixmag magazine.
By 2005 he had several 12" releases under this name with labels including Good Looking Records, Camino Blue, V Recordings and FF Recordings as well as digital releases with Strictly Digital and FF. Fast forward to 2010, he had started his own record label, a weekly club night and also had tracks played regularly on Radio 1 and 1xtra by various DJs including, Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Gilles Peterson, Bailey and Makoto.
In the early 2010s he joined Retrostate alongside Damon Goss and Marcus Pearson as their keyboard and synth player. He also operates under various aliases including AntiGravityProject, Kenji Moto, Dicehaarder and Bjorn Aarnstrom. Lawrence has also produced music for Films, Adverts and Websites.
With a huge interest in graphic design, film and psychedelic experiences, Lawrence started to VJ more which led to a natural reunion with his former Retrostate band members who now make up Dexterous.
MARCUS PEARSON
Marcus Pearson is an eclectic musician, vocalist and producer with over three decades of experience in the industry. His journey began in the early 90s, spinning tracks at local clubs and bars and diving into the world of production with white label Hardcore 12" records alongside Caleb Lyndsay. Soon, his talent led him to renowned clubs like The Cross, Leisure Lounge, and Escape. The summer of 1998 found him in the magical Ibiza, rubbing elbows with fellow producers and igniting a newfound passion for production. He then spent several years honing my skills in Logic, ProTools, and Reason software.
In 2001, he collaborated with Lee Jones as 'Country Gents,' releasing 'Faithfully Stoned' on Transfusion and 'Time Passes' on Pear Music, which was recognized as Mixmag's Tune of the Month in January 2002. His partnership with Damon Goss led to the formation of 'Retrostate,' and they released three tracks on Fat Fox Records in 2004. Subsequently, he formed Eyereel Allstars, and their releases included 'Slowdown' on Duffnote Records and 'Get It On' on Redstick Recordings (Strictly Rhythm). Marcus' work caught the attention of Steve Forest and Chriss Ortiga, leading to collaborations like 'Modern Times,' which climbed to No.20 on the US Dance charts in June 2009.
Over the years, Marcus' music has been featured on renowned compilations, including Hed Kandi Beach House 2008, Hed Kandi USA Summer Mix, and Hed Kandi Disco Heaven 2008. Fast forward to 2012, he released a solo album on Openbar Music NY and began collaborating with the esteemed NY-based DJ, Producer, and label owner, Oscar P. In 2014, he reunited with Damon Goss, reviving Retrostate and establishing Rubicon Recordings. Their hard work culminated in the 2018 release of the Retrostate album, 'A Retrostate of Life.'
Today, he continues his musical journey as part of the modular hardware act Dexterous. From clubs to collaborations, Ibiza to hardware, his passion for music is the heart and soul of this fantastic ride.
